Reflectional Points on the Blog Project

1) What do you think are the advantages of this blog project?
  --I think the advantages of this blog project is that it helps me to express my feelings more. It also helps me to be a more expressive person because honestly, I'm not that expressive. It also enhanced my writing skills and word power :) 
2) What do you think are the disadvantages of this blog project?
-- I think the only disadvantage of this blog project is that it's very addicting. People tend to forgot what they need to do because they are busy posting their blogs.
3) What are your reactions towards your peer comments on your
blog posts?
-- I'm really greatful on their comments because it really flatters me. Their comments inspired me to write more and more of this blog posts. It feels like I'm really a great writer :)
4) What are the challenges that you encountered in this blog
project?
-- The challenge that I encountered when doing this blog project is that I can't express my feelings that much.  I find it difficult to write what I really want to write. I have many ideas in my mind, but when I'm about to write it, I forgot all those ideas or should I say, I can't express it enough. Too hard for me. Haha
5) What is your over-all comment about this blog project?
-- I'm very thankful to this blog project because it helps me too express my feelings more and it helps me to improve my writing skills. I'm not really that fond of writing, but I really enjoyed doing this. I really feel like I'm a pro-writer :) Hahaha.

Global Issue: Pork Barrel Scam

Philippines is facing many problems. And as a citizen of this country, I can say that we all need to express our feelings and comments about what's happening in our country. We need to act and not just watch other people suffer.

We all know about this pork barrel issue. Our money is wasted because of their selfishness. The government is the one who must protect us, who must help us and not the one who will put us down. Well, we must not be judgemental. Not all the politicians are like them. We just need to choose the right, responsible and trustworthy leader. We must think wisely :)

The one who's responsible in this issue must know how the people is suffering because of them. I know they regret that they did this, but what can it do? They can't bring back the money they took.

But yeah, we must forgive them. Everyone deserves a second chance. My only suggestion is that they should help bringing back the money they took. We need that money! Our country needs that money. So yeah, I hope they do that when they get out of the jail  :) hahaha

Global Issue: Poverty

 Poverty is one of the biggest problems our country is facing. We should be aware of what's happening around the world. We are very lucky to have what we need now. The food, the shelter, the clothing and the medicines. Instead of wanting some more, and getting mad for not having the things we want, we should be thankful first for having what we need. See these kids? They are happy because they have something to eat. Little things makes them happy. I hope we all appreciate the things we already have. :)

One of the reasons why our country is facing this problem is because of our population. Our population is increasing rapidly. People must know and must do the family planning. We are the one who's responsible about this problem, not only the government. Instead of blaming them, we should act and help them too. The government should act as well, and give help to these people. :))

These people suffers a lot, and for them to survive, they go to streets and ask for our help. We should help them. These people are also part of this world. They deserve to be treated right and fair. We must not avoid them, we must understand and help them :)

Social Issue: Fraternity and Sorority

Fraternity and Sorority are also one of the most alarming issue in our country. These organizations are all about brotherhood and sisterhood. What's not good in these organization is their initiation rights or hazing. Many people died because of this. I just can't understand why these organizations need to kill or do this to their newly additions? Some say to prove their power, ability, and their loyalty. There are many ways to prove that. But why hazing? I'm not against any fraternity or sorority, actually, for me, having this organization is great. It can protect you from harm. It promotes brotherhood. What I just can't accept is that they are taking the lives of people who just want  to be one of them.

The government should act about these things. Many people already died because of  hazing. Everyone deserves a justice. I hope every people, especially college students,  learned something about this issue. We are the one who's responsible for every act that we do. We should think first before we do something. We may regret things in the end. So think first, before you act :).

Social Issue: Teenage Pregnancy

Teenage pregnancy is one of the most alarming issues here in the Philippines. Many teenagers engaged themselves  in sexual intercourse just to be "in" with their friends. According to the 2014 Young Adult Fertility and Sexuality (YAFS) study, around 14 percent of Filipino girls aged 15 to 19 are either pregnant for the first time or are already mothers—more than twice the rate recorded in 2002 (Carin Van der Hor; Inquirer.net). Data shows that pregnant teenagers are mostly 17-19 years old. They are living with their parents or relatives.

Reasons why teenagers get pregnant includes: Lack of information about safe sex, breakdown of family life, lack of good female role model and peer pressure and some just want to do it to get along with her friends.

Teenagers must be disciplined about this issue. Family members, teachers must teach them about life and what will happen to them if they get pregnant early. Teenage Pregnancy is one of the reasons why the Philippines' population is increasing. It is one of the reasons why there are many street children everywhere. These innocent kids are suffering because of them.

As a teenager, I guess having a knowledge about this issue is very important. Every teenager must know how to handle things like this. They must know their limitations. They must understand that we should focus on our studies first. And one more thing, we should always remember that not all the things that are friends have experienced, we must experienced it too. Remember that, doing the right thing and doing what you want is important. And you must think first before you do something. :)

Future Plans

 "I really wanna help them" That's what I always say to myself whenever I see an old man and woman or children sleeping outside and seeking for foods and shelter. Honestly, I pity them. I wanna help them. I was a freshman high school student when I told my friends that one day, when I become a successful individual, I will help those people. I really meant that. That's one thing that will really make me happy :)). To help others. 

All leadership organizations in our school, back when I was in High School, participates in the university's outreach program. Everytime there is a typhoon, an earthquake or whatever disaster happened, our school is always ready to help. Every year, we go to Missionaries for Christ, a home for the aged located in Tayuman and to A. Mabini Elem. School. The said school was the adopted school of the University of the East. We give presents to the elderly and the children and we have a small party and celebration. We gave free training to the students about dancing, hand miming and acting. I can see in their eyes that they're really happy and very thankful. And for that, it also makes me happy. I just really want to see other people smile and laugh :)

Someday, I'm planning to build a home for the aged and children. I really really want to do that. When I become successful, I will really build that home. I want to inspire them, I want to give them hope. I want to help them. I will work hard to pursue that dream. 

Career Goals

Being a flight attendant was my dream back when I was an elementary student. I really wanna go to different places. But that dream changed when I was in third year high school. I realized that I'm not fitted to be a flight attendant. That's when I decided to be a chef. I realized that I want to be a chef someday. I want our business to expand. Our family business is an eatery. And I want that eatery to be a famous restaurant. My first step in pursuing that dream is to study HRM. Lyceum of the Philippines University is very known for that course. So I took it there :). After I finish that course, I will take Culinary Arts (still in LPU) for one year. Then, I will look for a job at some prestigious hotels.

I want to be a chef at a cruise ship. And having an experience in a hotel will be a big help for me. I want to work in a cruise ship because of the salary. The money I will save will be the key in making my my own restaurant. Honestly, I still don't know what kind of restaurant I will make. Will it be all about asian cuisine, western cuisine, pastries or whatever. And oh, I also want to work in a cruise ship because working there means going in different places or countries. And that's one of my dreams-- to travel around the world.

Honestly, I'm not that familiar about the different kinds of cuisine. That's why I haven't decided about it yet. I want to be familiar with it first. Maybe I'll plan it before or after I finish my course :). I'm imagining myself cooking in my own restaurant, serving the guests and finally making my dreams come true. That would be great right? So I'll never give up and I will surely make my dream come true.

School days!

And I'm baaack! So, I'm gonna share with you my school days :). I studied at San Antonio De Manila Pre-School when I was 5 years old. I studied nursery and kindergarten there. Elementary years was great but it's not that awesome unlike High School. I studied Elementary at P. Gomez Elementary School. I was an accelerated student back then :).

High School was the best years of my life so far. I learned many things and I knew the true meaning of friendship. Many opportunities, chances and experiences came to my life these past 4 years. I'm very thankful to the University of the East, because of the chances they gave me. I became the Vice President of the cream section in fourth year. 

I also became the President of the Book Lovers' Club in our school. And the best of all, I became the Deputy Commander of the Citizenship Army Training.

  For me, that was the best thing that ever happened to me because I proved to everyone that I can be a leader. It also helped me to become not just a great leader but also a disciplined individual. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=558009880886693&set=vb.100000330573958&type=3&theater.
Many memories happened in that University that I will treasure the most.
Our principal once said, "Once a warrior, remains a warrior..
In heart and in spirit" I always keep that quote because I know deep inside, I still have that warrior spirit who never gives up and will always fight for what is right.

And now,  new chapter of my life begins at the Lyceum of the Philippines University. New experiences, new chances and new opportunities will surely come my way. I will not let the problems, trials and failures be a hindrance in pursuing my dreams. And I know this University will guide me and help me to achieve my dreams :)).

This blog  is all about myself :). So I hope you enjoy reading! Hii! I'm Christabel Chloe A. Jusay. 15 years old. Born on December 25, 1998.  Yeaaah, while the others is celebrating Christmas and the birth of Christ, my family is at the hospital also celebrating, not only because it's Christmas, but also because my mom gave birth to me! :D. 

I have one older brother and one little sister! My family ran a food business, it's actually located at our house where we live. :)

So, how do I describe myself? Mmm. Physically, I'm small. 5 flat </3. Haha! Many people are telling me that I'm a little bit chubby (but still cute :p). I have a layered brown hair and I have a slanted eyes ;). Attitude? Well, I'm snappy when I'm not in the mood. Haha! I'm very emotional when it comes to drama movies and very serious conversation with someone (that's why I don't want to talk to someone when it's very serious :p). I cry a lot. Haha! But I'm very cheerful! I always laugh and I love comedy! :D. 

My hobby is to play guitar. Although I'm not that good in playing that instrument, still I want to play it! Well, I just need to practice hard. Haha!

 I also love to eat! while the others is busy because of their love life, I'm also busy eating foods! :) That's my stress reliever. And when I'm bored, I just go out and buy something to eat! :) I love doing that! Haha! 

Mmm, what else? I also love watching basketball games! Especially the University Athletic Association of the Philippines or UAAP. My school back in High School is participating in that prestigious collegiate basketball league, that's why I love watching it. I'm also a basketball fan. Haha! So I guess that's all!
